SegraSegra works with unique materials with strong stories such as Nanomembrane®, Outlast® and Ventile. For nearly a decade we have been recycling used bicycle inner-tubes, which have become a great, environment-friendly substitute for leather accessories. Segrasegra has supported the idea of slow fashion since the brand was founded.

High quality water/wind resistant Nanomembrane. Three layer laminates with the Nanomembrane nanofibrous membrane offer perfect vapor permeability, water resistance and 100% wind resistance as well as excellent protection of the nanofibrous membrane Nanomembrane.

  • Fine washing at 30°C
  • Spin-drying up to 800 rpm
  • Laundry detergent intended for membrane clothing
  • Do not use fabric softeners
  • Iron the product after every washing. This will activate the nanoparticles repelling water, oil and other impurities

Outlast was originally designed for NASA to protect astronauts against divergences of temperature in the space. It holds a certificate guaranteeing Certified Space Technology, which allows constant regulation of the microclimate of the skin.
It contains microcapsules Thermocules® in the fibres, which are capable of absorbing, storing and releasing redundant heat. When the skin warms up, the heat is absorbed. On the contrary, when the skin cools, the heat is released. The material is outstanding in the sensation of ideal thermal comfort. You will be neither hot, nor cold. You will feel just fine.
We are among the few in the Czech Republic who have obtained the certificate to use this material. Every new design has to undergo a thorough process of approval at the headquarters in Germany.

We use this material for linings in our coats and jackets made of Ventile. Therefore, the rules for care are the same as for Ventile.

Ventile® was created to save the lives of Air Force personnel flying over the Atlantic in wartime England.
The unique waterproof qualities of the fabric ensured that it was also widely championed by outdoor enthusiasts and adventurers alike. The performance of Ventile® fabric results from the properties of cotton fibres, which expand in contact with water. The fabric is treated with a durable water repellence finish (DWR). Ventile® is 100% cotton fabric, capable of providing an effective barrier against inclement weather, rain, wind and cold. Ventile® was used during the first ascent to Mount Everest in 1953 and also by Sir Ranulph Fiennes when he crossed the Arctic between 1979 and 1982.

Caring for Ventile® garments is simple. Good care will help maintain high performance throughout the lifetime of the product.
We always recommend dry-cleaning your garment.
However, if that is not possible, by following these basic rules, you will achieve maximum durability of the garment and at the same time significantly improve its longevity. As the material is 100% natural, it will fade a little after each wash and get the right patina.


  • Turn your clothes inside out
  • Close all zippers
  • Machine wash one item at a time in warm water (max. 30°!) on a gentle cycle using pure liquid soap
  • Do not twist or wrinkle to prevent creases
  • Reshape the garment on a hanger and allow it to dry naturally avoiding direct sunlight
  • Iron carefully on a warm setting; this reactivates the DWR treatment

Using recycled bicycle inner tubes has become our sign of recognition. This material is incredibly resistant to outwearing and washing. Moreover, it gets a shine with time. It is a great, environment-friendly substitute for leather accessories. Therefore, our customer base has extended also to vegans.

Inner tubes from tyres and bicycles would be decomposing for hundreds of years in a landfill. We have recycled about 3, 000 inner tubes in the past nine years, which accounts for about 500 kg of recycled material. And we have not finished yet.
